Cerner recognizes the critical role Nursing Assistants play in the lives of long-term care residents. In support of this important role, Cerner, in conjunction with AANAC, has developed the Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship.
The Nursing Assistant of the Year winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship toward the completion of a master's degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or technical certification in nursing. The Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship is open to any nursing assistant with one or more years of experience working in the long-term care field for a licensed long-term care facility. The winner of this award will be notified in March 2019, and the award will be presented to the winner in person at the 2019 AANAC and AADNS Conference in Orlando, FL, Apr. 3-5, 2019.
The recipient of this award must be:
- At least 18 years of age, reside in the United States, and be a United States citizen.
- A current CNA with one or more years of experience working in the long-term care field for a licensed long-term care facility.
- The recipient of this scholarship must be a first-time recipient and not a previous winner.
- The recipient of this scholarship will receive $3,000 toward the completion of a nursing program, generously sponsored by Cerner, as well as a complimentary registration to the 2019 AANAC and AADNS Conference in Orlando, FL (a $515 value), two nights of hotel accommodations at the host hotel, and a travel stipend.
