2019 Carter-Elmblad Family Scholarship

About the Carter-Elmblad Family Scholarship

This $3,000 scholarship is awarded by the Long-Term Care Nursing Education Foundation and is funded by the Carter-Elmblad Family. This scholarship is designed to address the shortage of trained nurses working in the field of long-term care. This scholarship rewards a long-term care professional who is interested in advancing his/her nursing education and has demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to improving the quality of life with excellent care for the residents that reside in his/her home. The winner will be notified in February 2019, and the scholarship will be presented to the recipient in-person at the 2019 AANAC and AADNS Conference in Orlando, FL, April 3-5, 2019.

Requirements:

  • The recipient must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a BSN, MSN, or DNP program
  • The recipient must have at least 12 months of experience working in a long-term care facility
  • The recipient of this scholarship must be a first-time recipient and not a previous winner of this scholarship

Scholarship Inclusions: 

  • The recipient of this scholarship will receive $3,000 toward a BSN, MSN, or DNP program, complimentary registration to the 2019 AANAC and AADNS Conference in Orlando, FL (a $515 value), two nights of hotel accommodations at the host hotel, and a travel stipend.
