Maintaining the OBRA schedule can be challenging enough when there are no major changes. But toss in a Significant Change in Status Assessment (SCSA) or a Significant Correction to Prior Comprehensive Assessment (SCPA), and it can throw off everything. Both of these assessments have a major impact on the OBRA cycle, which always starts with a comprehensive assessment and is followed by Quarterly assessments every 92 days until the next comprehensive is due in 366 days. The SCSA and SCPA essentially reset this schedule so that the next comprehensive will not be due for another year.
