Kelton has a strong knowledge of the senior care industry and has been actively involved since he was 18. He is a long-term
care speaker, educator, and advocate.
Over the course of his 19-year long-term care career, Kelton has held various roles around developing, supporting, and consulting
with long-term care software and applications. In his first five years, he was an associate with Swartz and Associates/Swartz
Software Systems before it was acquired by Plante Moran; he continued with the Plante Moran Clinical Group for another
eight years. For the past six years, he has worked with Cerner as program manager, solution designer, and, currently,
strategist within the Long-Term Care Business Unit.
He has spent years working with LTC providers and RAI coordinators, going back to the days of MDS 2.0. As a regulatory strategist,
he is aware of the current and future regulations that members face, as well as what opportunities and challenges will
likely come in the future.
Kelton is engaged with providers and RAI coordinators across the country and works with them to support their goals and successes. In his current role as a leader and regulatory strategist, he oversees software development, provides staff education, and is the education liaison between hospital, home health, and long-term care software developers.
Kelton received his bachelor’s in Business and Applied Economics from Ohio State University.
