Restricted Access
AANAC's Web site has many sections that are open to all users, with no registration required. For these sections, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the Web domains of the Web site visitors. It's not technically possible to extract an email address simply by visiting a webpage. It is possible to extract what website the visitor came from. AANAC does not track this information. The website writes a "cookie" to the hard drive of every visitor whether they are members or not. The home page writes a temporary cookie that records that visit as having been counted. It's sole purpose is to prevent the web-server from counting the same visitor more than once.Some of AANAC's web pages will send a "cookie,"
Any restricted segment of the AANAC website requires a login and password. When a visitor successfully enters login information, the system generates a cookie which is used to recognize the visitor for the remainder of the session. If a user checks the "Remember Me" box when logging in, the system will maintain the cookie on the users hard disk for 30 days. If cookies are blocked or restricted in any way, the user will not be able to log into the website.

Web-based Forms and Contact Information
AANAC's Web site uses various Web-based forms for requesting information, opting in for news and requesting AANAC materials. We collect visitors' contact information, such as mailing address and e-mail address. This contact information is used to send the requested information and materials to the users. In some cases, this identifying information is provided to business partners, training partners, corporate sponsors, agencies, for profits organizations, and other selected parties who agree to AANAc's usage requirements. Users may opt-out of receiving future information from AANAC by e-mailing or faxing notification to the numbers listed above in this section. In certain instances, AANAC may release lists of individuals who request to receive and/or download potential certification holder information to selected other parties, who agree to AANAC's usage requirements.

Policy on the Release of Member Information
AANAC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to benefit the public and advance the nursing profession by AANAC's mission to improve the quality of care for residents/patients by providing health care professionals with accurate and timely information, education, networking and advocacy related to clinical assessment and completion of federally mandated instruments. From time to time, AANAC partners with other nonprofit organizations, for profits organizations, agencies, regulators, media and others. AANAC has determined that by sharing the following information about its members and RAC-CT certification holders AANAC will be able to further its mission:
- Whether the person(s) has ever been Certified by AANAC, the date awarded that status.
- A first name and last name.
- An e-mail address.
- A home or other physical address, including street name and name of a city or town with zip code.
- The phone number(s) of the person(s).
If lists of RAC-CT certification holders or AANAC members are provided in fulfillment of such requests, the effective date of the information will be included on the list. AANAC may provide information other than that listed above to government/regulatory agencies employers and others solely to allow for the proper identification of person(s) associated with the requesting agency. AANAC will respond fully to any appropriate request for information from any governmental unit or agency. If a member has a change to its personal identifiable information they should go to AANAC web site and find the membership info section to change h/er profile.
