AANAC Recognizes the Outstanding Members Among Us
|
For the first time in AANAC's short history we recognized members of AANAC at the Chicago Conference held October 3 and 4th, 2002 who have
contributed to this profession in their own special ways. It was a wonderful event to recognize and give back to those who have contributed most.
Perhaps one of the most touching stories to come out of this event was that one of our award winners is from a town of 1800 people in northern
Wisconsin and when she won her award from AANAC, signs were posted around the town saying she had won the award from AANAC and to go visit and
congratulate her over at the nursing home. In addition, some of her friends from northern Wisconsin accompanied her to the Awards Luncheon to
see her actually receive the award. It is so amazing how far a little recognition goes. AANAC will host an Awards Luncheon each year to honor
members who contribute most to our profession so start thinking right now about who you will nominate next year.
